I’m excited to delve into the diverse world of questing in Love Quest. My goal has always been to create a rich and immersive experience, and that includes the quests you'll undertake. While some quests may seem familiar to seasoned RPG players, each one is crafted to fit seamlessly into our game's unique narrative and world. Let's dive into the types of quests or quest mechanics you can expect:

Monster/Enemy Quests

These quests will have you tracking down and dealing with specific monsters. You might be tasked to:

• Catch/destroy a number of specific enemies: Find and capture/destroy certain creatures/enemies scattered throughout the land.
• Catch/destroy enemies at specific locations: Seek out and capture monsters/enemies at a specified location.
• Catch specific monster-types: Focus on capturing a particular type of monster. An example might be: “Please find and destroy 10 Mech-type enemies.”
• Combination of the above: Some quests will mix these elements, challenging you to strategize your approach.

Item Delivery

Sometimes you'll need to deliver items to certain characters. These quests could involve:

• Delivering provided items: Items will be provided and you just need to deliver them to a specific character.
• Acquiring items: You'll need to find items through looting, buying, or crafting before delivering them.
• Delivering a certain quantity: The quest might ask you to gather and deliver a specific number of items.

Gear Requirement

Certain quests will require you to have specific gear equipped. This isn't about having the item in your inventory; you need to have it equipped to meet the quest criteria.

Stat Requirement

Some quests will challenge your character’s development. You might need to meet specific stat requirements, such as having at least 6 Strength and 12 Resolve, to take on or complete a quest.

Choices

Some quests will present choices. Your decisions can have varying degrees of impact, from minor to significant, affecting your path and outcomes:

• Inconsequential choices (ICs): Some choices don’t really matter. An example of an IC might be rejecting a quest now, but the opportunity to accept them later remains, ensuring you don’t miss critical parts of the story.
• Consequential choices (CCs): Accepting a quest might come with the opportunity cost of another. Rejecting a quest might lose you the opportunity to accept that specific quest forever.

Time Constraints

Some quests will have time constraints or specific parameters. The QUEST LOG will always provide details in red for quests where time is a factor. For example:

• Quest: Deliver Vital Herbs to the Hospital
• Time Constraint: Must be completed within 24 hours.
• Log Entry: [Deliver the herbs to Salem at the Hospital urgently! Time remaining: 24 hours]

Consequences of Quest Failure

Failing a quest have varying degrees of impact, from minor to significant, affecting your path and outcomes.

• Failproof quests (FPQs): Certain quests are failproof. Meaning they’ll remain in your quest log until you complete them.
• Failsafe quests (FSQs): If you fail these quests, simply go back to the quest giver and try again. Penalties may apply. For example, if this quest is a delivery quest that provides items upon quest receipt, the items will either vanish from your inventory or, if you don’t have them, their sell values will be deducted from your gold balance.
• One-shot quests (OSQs): Fail these quests and you’ll lose them forever, preventing questline progression ☹

The Quest Log

Always refer to your quest log. Quest-related dialogue is game-enriching and crucial for storytelling, but quest details/conditions can easily get lost. So, always check your Quest Log for summary and concise quest details!

Each quest is designed to enhance the narrative, stay true to the lore, and foster character development. By taking on these quests, you'll become deeply intertwined with the world of Love Quest, creating your own unique story along the way.
