Meet the Girls: Monique (NSFW)

Yo, yo, yo!

Here's another instalment in the Meet The Girls devlog series for my upcoming game: Love Quest: A New Dawn.  Monique actually went through a visual overhaul just recently. So, for those who are familiar with the old Monique, you might notice a few changes.

Monique "Eagle Eye" Elara, is Valoria's resident brainy beauty. She sees things that other can't - and there's a particular person of interest she finds intriguing for all the wrong reasons.

Background

While she was always a bit of a bookworm, she wasn't always a dusty academic. An old comrade of Jimin, Monique used to be the most-feared Luminian sniper among Noctis forces. Luckily for them, she’s now a professor at the academy, nurturing the next generation of scholarly minds. Although retired from combat, she remains one of Noctis’ highest priority targets. She has her subtle, yet beady eyes on everything going on around her.

Motivations

Monique is driven by a desire to impart her vast knowledge to the younger generation and to ensure the security of her community. Her protective instincts and love for teaching are equally strong.

Personality

Wise, observant, and nurturing, Monique’s calm demeanor belies her sharp mind and formidable past. She is a steadfast friend, offering wisdom that seems magical in its depth.

Pet Peeves

Ignorance, incompetence, arrogance, and dishonesty. Monique values intelligence, precision, and integrity, and she has no patience for those who hold themselves in higher regard than others.

Strengths

Unparalleled wisdom, keen observation skills, strategic mind, and a nurturing nature. Monique's experience and intellect make her a formidable and invaluable mentor.

Weaknesses

Occasional paranoia from her vigilant past, protectiveness that can limit others' growth, and a tendency to keep personal struggles hidden. Monique’s dedication sometimes leads to emotional isolation.

Relationships

Having seen Jimin wielding the elements to bury scores of enemies to running around her café, dealing with the relative trivialities of café proprietorship, Monique finds the contrast between Jimin the Café Owner and Jimin the Elementalist a constant point of amusement.
